Julie and Elsie's Christmas Gift Guide!

Today we have important news! Elsie and I have a job working at Studio Lumio! Our first assignment was to write a gift guide about things that are good presents for stuffed animals. We did lots of research and worked very hard on our assignment.  The best part was that we got to use the computer a lot and think about things that we want for Christmas. The worst part was that Person said we can't post it here so you'll have to go to the Studio's website to see our post. We hope everyone will look at it because we are very proud of our work.

A Special Edition and Very Important
Halloween Informational Update!

Today is a very important day because it is Halloween! This is one of the best days to get candy so you need to be prepared.  People just hand out candy to cute little ones who are wearing costumes. Elsie and I will maximize our candy potential by increasing our cuteness quotient with extra cute costumes. We think this is a very good plan.

This is Person's pumpkin.

Halloween is also a time for carving pumpkins! A few weeks ago, Person took us to the pumpkin patch where we all got a pumpkin to carve. Person's pumpkin is way bigger than ours which we don't think is fair!

We can carve it ourselves!!!

Yesterday we were going to carve our pumpkins. Person said we had to wait until the evening when other Person comes home. We did not want to wait! We had already waited a long time since we got the pumpkins! When Person was working on the computer, we went into the kitchen and got out the pumpkin carving knife and got started! Person was very angry when she found us and sent both of us to time out. I don't understand why she got so upset. When other Person finally came home, we had to eat dinner. People are so slow! Then it was time to carve pumpkins.

Halloween Eve is almost as exciting as Halloween!

Person carved a picture of us on her pumpkin which made us very happy! Sometimes Person is very sweet and sometimes we love her very much but not always.

We need to light the candle inside so it will glow!

Early this morning, while Person was still sleeping, we tried to light our pumpkin because it is all pretty with the candle burning. Person found us before we got it going and was mad again. She thinks matches and knives are dangerous. We don't understand why she's allowed to use them and not us.

Can you guess what our costumes are?

This afternoon we were very busy making our costumes. We made them all by ourselves. Well, Person helped a little bit but only with unimportant parts like assembling them. We had the idea.

Where is the chocolate? That's our favorite!

We will be helping Person hand out candy tonight and by helping we mean that we hide some in the coffee table to make sure there's enough left for us.

Happy Halloween everyone!

This is such an exciting day and we haven't even had any candy yet! We hope you have all planned ahead to maximize your candy potential. If you need any advise on increasing your cuteness quotient, just let us know. We like to help except if you are after the same candy we are. We do not like to share!

 Bend Trip

We went on a fun trip to bend with Person last month. We were very happy to go because we had never been there before. We were less happy when we heard how long the drive was going to be. We really need to invent a faster way to travel or cars that are more fun. Maybe one with a little swimming pool would be good.

These cups have bunnies on them!

When we finally arrived at the place we were going to stay, Person had to do some boring stuff like unpacking so Elsie and I explored in the cupboards. We found some little cups for us to use. The cups even had bunnies on them. Elsie was very excited about this. Person said that we could have some hot chocolate in them before bed.

This is us at the Deschutes  River.
After we ate our lunch, which was boring salad again, we went for a hike along the river. We saw some people kayaking which looked very fun. We wanted to hop in the river too but Person wouldn't let us.

Elsie thinks this is a rabbit hole!

We found some holes in rocks that Elsie thought friends lived in. I'm glad Person found her before she got lost. She should also know that it's not polite to go into someone's house when you don't know them. Not all animals are friendly to little rabbits. I'll need to keep a better eye on her.

There's a good view from this tree!

We climbed a tree when Person wasn't looking. We are now all sticky. Don't tell Person please or she'll make us take a bath.

Us on the trail.

The trail was very beautiful and we had a good time looking at everything. Person let us build a fort out of rocks and we had a chipnic (when you eat chips outside). We didn't want to leave but Person said she had to make dinner. She needs to create a dinner making robot so we can have more fun.

Will you be our friend?

The next day person took us to the park where we met an otter friend. She was very happy to play with us. I think there should be another otter at the park so she is not lonely. Otters are very friendly animals.

You can do it Elsie!

Then Elsie and I did some rock climbing. Rock climbing is very hard and you have to be careful not to fall. We are getting practice for climbing up the table or into the cupboards so we can get things without having to ask Person. This will be a very useful skill for us. Elsie was scared but I told her it was important for getting more chocolate!

So many pretty flowers!

We wanted to ride in this wagon but person said that it didn't work and that we would need horses. I wonder why the car doesn't need horses.

Can we please go swimming!

Please! We're sure it's not too cold!

We were sad that it was time to go home but person says we can come back someday. Next time we want to rent us a little raft or kayak so we can play in the water. We also want to go to a toy store and get ice cream. We'll need to go back when it is summertime so we can do all these things. Although, playing in the snow would be good too. We really need a faster way of traveling so we can go more exciting places more often. We'll work on figuring something out. It can't be that hard.

Camping Trip!!!

This August person took us camping at the lake. When she told us we were going, we couldn't stop yelling, we were too excited. Person was not happy about this and says that next time she won't tell us in advance. We know about the calendar though, so once we learn to read better, we can be prepared for what fun things are coming up on our own. Maybe if we write fun things in, person will be confused and take us to the zoo or the park.

Driving is not very interesting for us.

We had to drive a very long way to the lake and were very bored in the car. Person kept telling us to sit still and to stop asking if we were there yet. It wasn't a lot of fun and Elsie dropped her chocolate on the floor and I accidentally pulled Elsie ear and person wouldn't let us put our heads out the window... We thought the three hours would last forever!

Almost there!

When we were finally almost there, person let us look out the front window. The road was very pretty but we just wanted to get to the lake.

Our home for the weekend.

Once we arrived and had picked out the perfect campsite, we helped person set up the tent by bouncing on the air mattress to make sure it was filled up correctly. Person said this wasn't actually helpful and wanted us to go play but we know she needed our help so we could get to the lake quicker.

Such a big, beautiful lake for us to play in!

After getting the campsite set up (This took a long time. People are very slow.), we all went down to the lake for a picnic lunch. Person had brought some boring healthy salads but she had also remembered chips so it turned out OK.

Playing by the lake.

We went on a hike around the lake in the afternoon riding in person's backpack. This was fun, especially since we found some chocolate in there and helped ourselves to a generous serving.

Having a campfire was exciting!

In the evening we had a big campfire and sang songs and drank hot chocolate. Person didn't bring any marshmallows so that was sad but we did have some sausages to roast over the fire. Next time we will check person's food packing inventory to make sure we have everything we need. Person says marshmallows aren't healthy but we think all fun foods are healthy because they make us happy.

Get up person! We want to go play!

After an exciting night sleeping in the tent, we woke up very early the next morning and wanted to go play. Person was sleepy and cranky when we woke her up but we eventually got her to get up. There was still a lot of boring person stuff for her to do like make breakfast but we eventually got ready to go play!

This is so fun!

The most exciting thing that happened when we were camping is that person let us get in the lake and float around! It was a little scary for Elsie because she was afraid we would fall in but I wasn't afraid. Person may be mean and silly sometimes but she always takes care of us.

We looks so tinny at the big lake.

We were very sad when we had to go home from our camping trip. We don't see why we can't live at the lake forever in the tent and play all day everyday. Person said some silly things about work and responsibilities but we weren't paying attention. Elsie had climbed onto a rock and I joined her. We were planning to refuse to climb down so we couldn't go home. It seemed like a good idea but person just picked us up and put us in the car. We weren't expecting that. Sometimes she's smarter than she seems. Person told us that we can go camping again next summer and we are so excited. We are already planning all the fun things we want to do next year!

Japan sightseeing!

Person says this is our last post about our trip to Japan because we are out of photos. We don't understand how this is possible because we told her to take lots and lots of photos of us. Obviously she didn't take enough. I will be training George to take photos of Elsie and me in the future so we don't have this problem again.

The cherry blossoms are so beautiful!

Person took us to see lots of temples and shrines while we were in Japan. They all had pretty gardens and flowers which we liked.

It was raining hard this day. I got a little wet.

There were a few days were it rained but we had fun anyway. On one of the rainy days we took the train to Asakusa to go shopping and look at the temple. I enjoyed the train ride very much. It was fun looking out the window. Elsie was worried about the rain because she doesn't like to get wet so she stayed in person's purse most of the day.

Person needed lots of help from me with the shopping!

Here I am helping person buy fabric for sewing projects and omiyage (souvenir gifts) for my friends and family. I found some very cute bunny stickers and ribbons to give to my zebra cousin, Michelle, and my bunny cousin, Lucy. It was fun to see all the pretty traditional gifts in Asakusa. Since person bought lots of kimono fabric to make things out of, I am trying to talk her into making me and Elsie little Kimonos! That would make good presents for us I think!

Tokyo Tower!

This is Tokyo Tower, one of the tallest buildings in Tokyo. We really wanted to go up to the top but person said no. We tried to sneak out one night and go there ourselves but person caught us while we were trying to figure out the train schedule on her phone. We were in trouble for waking her up. I think she was just being unreasonable because she was tired. Persons get like that when they haven't had enough sleep.

Zojoji Temple

We went to Zojoji temple in Tokyo too. It was a very beautiful place. We looked at cherry blossoms, walked in the gardens and had some tasty chocolate snacks.

Elsie is going to become a Sumo wrestler!

Here we are at an outdoor Sumo wrestling arena. I think Elsie would make a good Sumo wrestler because she is kind of round. I plan on training her so we can enter competitions and win money to buy things that person won't get for us. Person doesn't always understand why we need things

Do you think this guy is friendly or scary? We're not sure.

We had so much fun in Japan and are sad that we are done telling you about it. We can't wait until our next trip! We are already planning ideas for what to do when we visit again. We have asked person to put some guidebooks on hold for us at the library. We want ones with lots of pictures. If we don't get our books soon, we may have to steal person's library card. Getting to the library may be a problem... we're still working on that part of the plan.

Japan Travels and Food!

Person has been very difficult and has not been helping us with our blog very much lately. This is not good because I know everyone is eager to see more photo's from our trip to Japan. We told person we would be good all day so that she had time to help us with this post. It has been very hard but we mostly succeeded and now she is helping us.

There was lots of yummy food to eat and look at in Japan. There were beautiful cakes in lots and lots of bakeries. You can see an example in the picture above. We wanted to buy all the cakes so we could try each one and vote for our favorite. Person said we would get sick if we ate too much and would only let each of us pick one. At least we got to taste two cakes that way because we decided to share both of our pieces. The cakes were super tasty. We did get in trouble for getting frosting all over our paws and rubbing some of it in person's hair. Apparently she didn't need any more conditioner. It looked similar to what she puts on her hair so it was confusing. We thought she'd be happy.

Can you believe this food is plastic?!

At many places in Japan they have plastic food on display. It looked so real that we thought we could eat it. I wanted to try but person said it was for looking at only. She would't even let me touch it! She did buy me a little food eraser that I can play with. It is for studying but I don't like to study. I like to play.

Elsie is having a very good day!

Elsie was really excited when we found carrot juice in one of the stores we visited. The box was as tall as her! Japan was a very rabbit friendly place with carrot juice, cakes and lots of parks to explore.

The cakes were so good in Japan that we want to try to make some here. We are thinking a green tea cake would be good. Person is often busy in the morning so we plan on making a cake to surprise her. The oven is dangerous and she told us not to use it but I'm sure it will be OK if we are very careful. Elsie wants to add carrots to the cake but I don't think that's a good idea. We both agree that the cake will need lots of sugar. I'm sure person will be pleased that we are making a special cake for her. Her rules about the kitchen are probably just because she doesn't know what great cooks we are. I don't see how anything could go wrong with this plan. What do you think?

Parks!

One of the very good things about our trip to Japan was that we went to a lot of parks! Almost always when we saw a park person would let us stop. This never happens when we are at home. Person is always saying she is too busy or that we have other things to do. When we were in Japan she was much more agreeable which made us happy. We don't know why she isn't always nice like this. We like parks!

Don't get too excited Elsie!

Several of the parks we stopped at had ponds or little lakes. I thought it would be a good idea to go swimming but person said no. Then I decided we should make a boat out of twigs and leaves but person said no to that too. This may have been a good idea after all because I'm not sure Elsie actually knows how to swim.

Yay for parks!

We went to a really fun park with lots of bridges and rocks to climb on. Elsie fell off one of the rocks. Person said that I pushed Elsie and that is why she fell. I don't agree. I was just helping her. It is not my fault that Elsie isn't as good a climber as me.

There are some pretty flowers on the trees but it's hard to see them.

Since Elise had hurt herself, person made both of us stop playing on the rocks. This really wasn't fair because I was still fine. Oh well, person has silly ideas sometimes.

Do you see anything?

After that person told us to look in the water to see if we could spot any fish. We waited a long time and were about to give up and then suddenly we saw one!

Oh, a Koi fish!

We were a little startled when we finally did see the fish and Elsie got so excited she almost fell in. Luckily person caught her just in time. The fish was probably disappointed though. It may have wanted to meet a new friend.

Look at me and this cool tree!

Person decided that it was too dangerous for us to play by the water anymore. This may have been because I kept trying to jump in to meet the fish. Person may also have just been being silly again. I'm sure I know how to swim. Little zebras are good at those sort of things. I did get to climb in this tree though. Elsie was afraid she would fall so she stayed with person while I climbed.

Oh dear, these animals look very sad!

As we were leaving one of the parks we saw this scary sign. Some people are leaving their little animals at the park! This makes them very sad and lonely. Elsie and I were very worried about this and were afraid that person would leave us at a park. We didn't want this to happen so we decided to be very very good for the rest of the day. We talked to person about it and she said she would never leave us at a park. This made us feel much better. Maybe she should not have told us this though because now we know that we don't have to be good anymore. We can go back to demanding a larger serving of dessert and asking if we can go to the toy store. This is a very good thing and we are happy about it. Now we just need to figure out how to get person to take us to more parks when we are at home. We may need to create a magic cooking and housecleaning robot so she has more time to play with us. We could also just make fewer messes or help out so she doesn't have to clean so much but that wouldn't be as much fun. The magic robot plan is a good one. We will get other person to help us. He is good at math and other confusing people things.

さくら! Cherry Blossoms!

Person recently took me and Elsie to Japan. While we were there it was cherry blossom viewing season so we got to see lots of pretty flowers. All over Tokyo it was beautiful with pink and white flowers. We went on buses and trains to get to lots of different parks where we could look at the flowers. I though the bus was exciting. I liked looking out the window and seeing all the new and interesting things. Elsie was scared on the bus and hid in person's purse. She likes to hide.

Flower everywhere!

In Japan everyone likes to sit outside in the parks and look at the flowers. They sit on blue tarps and have picnics. We think this is a wonderful idea. We are always telling person that we want to go to the park and have a picnic. We wanted to get our own blue tarp to sit on.

This is where I'll have my picnic!

Person hadn't thought to bring anything for us to sit on so I improvised and sat in this tree while I ate my afternoon chocolate. At least person remembered the chocolate! I did remind her several times in the morning because she is often forgetful. I watched all the people walking by and wondered what they were doing. Maybe some of them were on their way to Tokyo Disneyland. I hoped someone would offer to take me but no one did.

We're having a fun day!

We visited lots of places and person started to get tired. I think that is why she kept saying no when we wanted to do things. That is the only reason that makes sense. Who wouldn't want to go the the "Hello Kitty" Museum!

Can you see Tokyo Tower in the background?

At one of the place we went to, you can see the Tokyo Tower. This is one of the tallest buildings in Tokyo according to person. It looked very big to us. I wanted to go in but Elsie was scared so we stayed in the park.

I look nice with my red bow and the flowers!

All the gardens were very beautiful but I started to get bored and we had run out of chocolate! I think this may have been Elsie fault so we started arguing. Person thought we needed a nap but that just made us angrier. Naps aren't any fun. I think it was person who needed the nap!

What a beautiful garden!

Person told us we had just one more place to visit and then we could go have dinner. I'm glad we went because we saw a wedding. There were so many pretty Kimono! Person needs to make one for me. I helped her pick out some fabric a few days later so hopefully I will have one soon. They didn't make any my size so Ill have to wait for person to make me one. Maybe I will learn to sew if she is too slow.

There were Koi fish in this pond!

It was a very fun day except for running out of chocolate! We do need to learn Japanese though. We only know a few words so we couldn't talk to anyone and ask them to take us to Tokyo Disneyland. Maybe person will teach us Japanese or let us take a class for next time we visit! I'm sure other people will be more understanding than person about places we want to visit!
