Japan sightseeing!

Person says this is our last post about our trip to Japan because we are out of photos. We don't understand how this is possible because we told her to take lots and lots of photos of us. Obviously she didn't take enough. I will be training George to take photos of Elsie and me in the future so we don't have this problem again.

The cherry blossoms are so beautiful!

Person took us to see lots of temples and shrines while we were in Japan. They all had pretty gardens and flowers which we liked.

It was raining hard this day. I got a little wet.

There were a few days were it rained but we had fun anyway. On one of the rainy days we took the train to Asakusa to go shopping and look at the temple. I enjoyed the train ride very much. It was fun looking out the window. Elsie was worried about the rain because she doesn't like to get wet so she stayed in person's purse most of the day.

Person needed lots of help from me with the shopping!

Here I am helping person buy fabric for sewing projects and omiyage (souvenir gifts) for my friends and family. I found some very cute bunny stickers and ribbons to give to my zebra cousin, Michelle, and my bunny cousin, Lucy. It was fun to see all the pretty traditional gifts in Asakusa. Since person bought lots of kimono fabric to make things out of, I am trying to talk her into making me and Elsie little Kimonos! That would make good presents for us I think!

Tokyo Tower!

This is Tokyo Tower, one of the tallest buildings in Tokyo. We really wanted to go up to the top but person said no. We tried to sneak out one night and go there ourselves but person caught us while we were trying to figure out the train schedule on her phone. We were in trouble for waking her up. I think she was just being unreasonable because she was tired. Persons get like that when they haven't had enough sleep.

Zojoji Temple

We went to Zojoji temple in Tokyo too. It was a very beautiful place. We looked at cherry blossoms, walked in the gardens and had some tasty chocolate snacks.

Elsie is going to become a Sumo wrestler!

Here we are at an outdoor Sumo wrestling arena. I think Elsie would make a good Sumo wrestler because she is kind of round. I plan on training her so we can enter competitions and win money to buy things that person won't get for us. Person doesn't always understand why we need things

Do you think this guy is friendly or scary? We're not sure.

We had so much fun in Japan and are sad that we are done telling you about it. We can't wait until our next trip! We are already planning ideas for what to do when we visit again. We have asked person to put some guidebooks on hold for us at the library. We want ones with lots of pictures. If we don't get our books soon, we may have to steal person's library card. Getting to the library may be a problem... we're still working on that part of the plan.

  1. I think that statue qualifies as scary. Lucy and Michelle confirm this opinion so now it is a fact and an opinion. Right? If enough people believe something it becomes a fact, just so?

    1. This is how we decide if it is a fact or an opinion. If we think something, it is a fact. If person thinks something, it is an opinion.

  2. I mean NOT an opinion. My little paw slipped on the key. Why is it called a key? It doesn't open anything!

    1. It is called a key because it opens doors to talking to me online I think.

    1. We are very good Jeff but sometimes person doesn't realize this because of misunderstandings. When she thinks we are naughty she is just confused. That is what we think anyway.

  4. I agree the statue looks a little scary. The shopping sounds like lots of fun and the Tokyo tower looks really tall.

Do you need to get a special fabric for the kimono or does any fabric work? Maybe person could sew kimonos and you two could see them for money. Perhaps it might be safer than sumo wrestling???

    1. The shops were so fun and all the shopkeepers were very nice to me. One even gave me a taste of some candy from their shop!

Person says that to make a traditional Kimono we would need special fabric but that you can make Kimono style with any fabric. Maybe sumo wrestling is kind of dangerous. I had not thought of that. The sewing machine has a big scary needle so I think that may be dangerous too. Maybe we will teach a class on how to get treats from people. We are pretty good at that.
