Parks!

One of the very good things about our trip to Japan was that we went to a lot of parks! Almost always when we saw a park person would let us stop. This never happens when we are at home. Person is always saying she is too busy or that we have other things to do. When we were in Japan she was much more agreeable which made us happy. We don't know why she isn't always nice like this. We like parks!

Don't get too excited Elsie!

Several of the parks we stopped at had ponds or little lakes. I thought it would be a good idea to go swimming but person said no. Then I decided we should make a boat out of twigs and leaves but person said no to that too. This may have been a good idea after all because I'm not sure Elsie actually knows how to swim.

Yay for parks!

We went to a really fun park with lots of bridges and rocks to climb on. Elsie fell off one of the rocks. Person said that I pushed Elsie and that is why she fell. I don't agree. I was just helping her. It is not my fault that Elsie isn't as good a climber as me.

There are some pretty flowers on the trees but it's hard to see them.

Since Elise had hurt herself, person made both of us stop playing on the rocks. This really wasn't fair because I was still fine. Oh well, person has silly ideas sometimes.

Do you see anything?

After that person told us to look in the water to see if we could spot any fish. We waited a long time and were about to give up and then suddenly we saw one!

Oh, a Koi fish!

We were a little startled when we finally did see the fish and Elsie got so excited she almost fell in. Luckily person caught her just in time. The fish was probably disappointed though. It may have wanted to meet a new friend.

Look at me and this cool tree!

Person decided that it was too dangerous for us to play by the water anymore. This may have been because I kept trying to jump in to meet the fish. Person may also have just been being silly again. I'm sure I know how to swim. Little zebras are good at those sort of things. I did get to climb in this tree though. Elsie was afraid she would fall so she stayed with person while I climbed.

Oh dear, these animals look very sad!

As we were leaving one of the parks we saw this scary sign. Some people are leaving their little animals at the park! This makes them very sad and lonely. Elsie and I were very worried about this and were afraid that person would leave us at a park. We didn't want this to happen so we decided to be very very good for the rest of the day. We talked to person about it and she said she would never leave us at a park. This made us feel much better. Maybe she should not have told us this though because now we know that we don't have to be good anymore. We can go back to demanding a larger serving of dessert and asking if we can go to the toy store. This is a very good thing and we are happy about it. Now we just need to figure out how to get person to take us to more parks when we are at home. We may need to create a magic cooking and housecleaning robot so she has more time to play with us. We could also just make fewer messes or help out so she doesn't have to clean so much but that wouldn't be as much fun. The magic robot plan is a good one. We will get other person to help us. He is good at math and other confusing people things.

  1. That is so sad that people are leaving their animals at the park - I am glad you two made it back. If you create that cooking and cleaning robot my roommates would like one so they could take me out on more adventures.

    Looks like a fun trip.
