Our Thanksgiving!

We had a very happy Thanksgiving this year. We went to visit my zebra cousins and Elsie's bunny friend Lucy. We like to see them and wish they lived with us except that we don't like to share our toys. It is good when we go to their house because then THEY have to share their toys with us.

The drive to their house is too long. Person should let
us run around the car but she makes us sit still
Hi Michelle!

I was very happy to see my cousin Michelle when we arrived. She and I came to live with our people when they were little. We used to live together but then our people grew up and moved away.

Elsie and Lucy had carrots but us zebras didn't have to eat any.
Person must have read the treat tutorial last week!

After dinner we worked on putting what we are thankful for on the Thankful Tree.

It's really tall Elsie. I think we'll have to climb it.
Grab us a few leaves Elsie

I am thankful for my person this year and Elsie is thankful for candy. I told her that they are related because our person is how we get candy. Elsie is too little to understand this though.

We'll have to climb again to hang them.

Next we had chocolate cake which was the best part of the day I think. Michele's person made a little cake that was just the right size for us. Michelle's person may be nicer than mine. I still love my person though.

Come on everyone and sit down. We want to eat!

We also had some of person's dessert. It didn't have enough sugar so we added some.

It turned out this wasn't sugar. Person says that is why we should learn to read.
We just let her have the rest after that.  We are nice that way.

We got to spend the night with our cousins in the little sleeping bags person made for all of us.

I can't sleep until person tells me a Pippa Mouse story

We had a very good time and were sad to go home the next day. Michelle and Lucy are good friends for us.

Goodbye Michelle and Lucy. Please visit us soon.

Now that Thanksgiving is over it is time to get ready for Christmas. We are very excited about that and are sure person will need lots of help from us.

Zebra Treats 101

This is a very important informational lesson. With the holidays coming I think it is important for everyone to understand what is an acceptable zebra treat. There seems to be some confusion. To help clear this up I will give some examples of good zebra treats.

Cakes! Cake is always a good zebra treat. We like anything sweet. Our person says too much sugar is bad for you but I'm pretty sure she is wrong about that.

This was a tasty Christmas cake, chocolate and orange
Elsie and I really like strawberries!
Cupcakes are also very good especially when they have zebra paper!

Pies and tarts are excellent zebra treats. We like pumpkin best of course but they are all very yummy.

Strawberry mini tarts for me and Elsie
Apple pie!
Happy zebra with pumpkin pie

Ice cream! Elsie and I like to make our own ice cream. The only problem is that it is very hard to wait for it to get done.

Person says next time we should just go play.
Apparently watching it doesn't make it get done faster.
It tastes better when you add berries and cream!

Elsie and I are also very fond of chocolate. Sometimes you need to get it yourself since person is not always available or may say no which is really silly.

Don't drop it Elsie. We don't want it all crumbled
Chocolate and strawberries on the beach. This was a very good zebra day
I love hot chocolate too. It is especially good in the winter.
Make sure your person gives you a big cup.

Bacon is very yummy. It is good on a holiday morning as a treat for zebra. Make sure to give your zebra extra treats on holidays!

I have to supervise to make sure person gives me enough

Zebras like gifts and presents as treats too. We like toys and other things to play with best. It turned out this present wasn't for us. Apparently you are supposed to ask before opening a present and not just assume it is for you.

We didn't want it anyway. It was a super boring person type present.

It is always a good idea to check for chocolate and other treats in the cookie jar.

They should make these smaller for easier zebra access

Elsie insisted I post a picture of carrots. I told her this was about zebra treats but she does not understand. Carrots are OK but mostly for bunnies. Your zebra may be mad if you give her carrots for Christmas!

Now there is no excuse for bad zebra treats during the holidays this year. We don't want a repeat of last year when person made us eat our vegetables before we could have Christmas cake and pie. She was probably just misinformed. That happens sometimes. I suppose she can't help it since she isn't a zebra.

We go on a fun hike!

We asked and asked and explained why it was a very good idea and finally our person said yes, we could go on the hike if we sat quietly in her pocket. Of course, once we left the house, we did not stay in the pocket. She should understand that there are too many exciting things to see and we simply cannot sit quietly! We did try for five minutes which is a very long time. Five minutes is an eternity.

Emmalina did not get to go since she is too big to fit in a pocket. She is currently designing better clothes for people with bigger pockets. It is a really important issue that all stuffed animals should care about. We will keep you updated on her progress. Currently the challenge is getting access to the sewing machine. Our people think it is too dangerous but we disagree.

On our hike we founds a little house that is just our size. We think it was put in the park as a camping cabin for stuffed animals like us. Our person says it was not meant for stuffed animals to live in. We think we can always use it even if that was not the original intent. There are good places for us where ever we go. You just need to see thing from our perspective.

Maybe we will move in here if person doesn't let us use the sewing machine

This river is perfect for a raft trip for us. We will have to make a little boat and come back in the summer. I will give Elsie a water safety tutorial first to make sure she knows what to do. She is just a little rabbit so she needs my help.

Don't fall in Elsie! It is too cold for a swim today!
There are so many things to see in the fall. The leaves all turn bright colors. We like the orange ones best because they make us think of pumpkins.

We like this pretty garden very much!

We had a good time on our hike even though our person was silly and forgot to bring snacks! Next time we will make sure to remind her. She needs a lot of attention and reminders from us. It is an important job for little zebras! When we got home she did give us hot chocolate so all in all it was an excellent day.

Introducing our awesome new band
"Government Issue Teddy Bear"

We have decided to form a band. Our people's music is not interesting to little animals so we will write songs that are better for us. It takes all three of us to play the ukulele. Elsie thinks she is a good singer but she isn't. Maybe I'll edit her out after we record and not tell her. Emmalina wants to be in charge but that is my job since I am a zebra and know better than bunnies about these things. I told her she can be responsible for making sure our people don't find out about this. It is top secret!

We are not allowed to play with the ukulele so don't tell anyone.
We can't get into trouble again or we will lose candy privileges!

I am learning to play the piano too. It is a good instrument for a zebra because the keys are black and white stripes! I only have four paws and not ten fingers like a person so it is hard for me but I will keep trying.

I'm not allowed to play piano without supervision either.
My person is really mean sometimes!
We will let you know about upcoming concerts and CD releases. Since we are only allowed to use our toy percussion instruments, it will be challenging but we will find a way.

Yay for Halloween!

Halloween is a great time to be a stuffed animal because there is candy! We really like candy especially chocolate. Chocolate is very tasty and especially good for zebras because if you get some on your fur it just looks like more stripes.  We learned that chocolate is not so good for little white bunnies... they will need baths which makes them unhappy. Halloween is also fun because you get to dress up and there are pumpkins! Our human made us costumes and even let us carve our own mini pumpkin this year. Sometimes she does what we want if we ask repeatedly. We did not get to go trick or treat though because she said people don't recognize that we are real. That is not OK so as punishment we ate all the left over candy. Here are some pictures of our Halloween this year.

Me in my "Little Red Riding Hood" costume that human made for me.
I wanted a pink one but she said it had to be red.

Here I am with the bunnies, Emmalina and Elsie.
Emmalina is a hula dancer and Elsie is a princess.

This is Theo. His costume was too scary
so we wouldn't let him in the picture with us.
We had a very good Halloween this year. What did you do? Please tell us about your day in the comments!

Hi everyone! I'm excited to share my adventures with you. I have been begging humans to get me a blog for a very long time and they have finally cooperated. They need a lot of direction. Making sure they are on the right track takes most of my time. The rest of the time I'm busy doing important zebra things that I will share with you. Now I need to go make sure my human isn't in trouble!
